Literary:
Jazz, Toni Morrison- In Jazz, Toni Morrison uses a narrative technique of sensual descriptions to convey experience. This technique was used in this project. Also a quote on page 221.
Morrison, Toni. Jazz. New York: Penguin Group. 1992.
Ceremony, Leslie Silko- Myths were used in Ceremony as a link to her culture. This same technique of incorporating culture, be it lyrics, media (videos), and cartoons, were used.
Silko, Leslie Marmon. Ceremony. New York: Penguin Books, 1977. Print.
Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close, Jonathan Foer- I incorporated images, and historical information, just like in Foer’s novel.
Foer, Jonathan S. Extremely Loud & Incredibly Close. New York: Mariner Books, 2005. Print.
The Crying of Lot 49, Thomas Pynchon- Pynchon created a great way to convey experience. And this was through using an interface, a connection to the unknown. This technique was also incorporated into my project.
Pynchon, Thomas. Crying of Lot 49. United States: Harper Perennial Modern Classics. 2006.
